The MishMash Story

From Mobile to Mortar

Mishmash is a new American restaurant with roots in the mobile food scene, opening originally as a pop-up restaurant serving breweries and farmers markets through San Diego.  January 2016, MishMash opened its first brick-and-mortar restaurant in Barrio Logan.

The MishMash Taste

Courtesy of Chef Doug Cook, MishMash offers a tour of flavor ranging from traditional Medianoche Cuban sandwiches with fresh house baked bread to our Vegetarian Parmesan Mushroom Burger.   All natural beef Burgers are stuffed with garlic herb goat cheese, topped with mozzarella, crunchy onions on locally made Sadie Rose amish buns spread with our house garlic aioli.  The menu is simple but broad and fun.


Bringing the Smoke

In June of 2021, the newest addition to the MishMash family came along. Our 250 gallon tank smoker named Heavy Lamarr brought the flavor. MishMash began offering hickory smoked meats from brisket to ribs during our weekly smoke outs.  Menu additions such as the Brisket Sandwich and No Name Burger with shredded St Louis Style Ribs on top of a 1/2 lb beef patty, brought the smoke to our daily menu as well.
